To preface, I am primarily a remote worker who goes into the office once or twice a week. And honestly, I was on the fence of buying this bag. I had been searching for a large tote style bag that I could fit my 2 work laptops into and all of my office accoutrement that I lug with me like a pack animal. I was looking to consolidate my current work bag, purse, and makeup bag all into this one Tote. After much searching, I ended up purchasing the Aquila Tote Bag, but have found some pros and cons.
Pros:
The leather is divine! So supple and buttery. And the overall stitching and quality of the bag is to die for. Seriously, it is a *LOVELY* bag that I am sure will last for years if properly taken care of. The interior pockets are great and I adore the fact that I can easily fit my 35oz Nalgene water bottle into either of the exterior pockets. And the fact that there are 5 interior pockets (3 with elastic) makes organization a breeze.
Cons:
The crossbody strap is also made out of the vegan leather which makes it very slippery when wearing a coat or certain material tops. And unfortunately, when you properly fill the bag with everything you may need for a day in the office (laptop(s), water bottle, notebook, pens, chargers, mouse, headphones, usb-c dongle, snacks, small makeup bag, etc) the bag gets extremely heavy and the weight isn't well dispersed. I can fit both laptops into the bag, but it's a tight fit and it's ridiculously heavy at that point. If you are only carrying one laptop, and using this bag as a purse substitute, then you'll be better off.
Although this is a lovely bag and I have received many compliments; in retrospect, I wish I would have bought the backpack version. While a tad smaller, the backpack strap orientation would alleviate some of the weight distribution issues that this bag has.
All in all, this bag makes for a beautiful weekend traveler, such as an overhead carry on bag - but in terms of an office tote, it's a bit cumbersome.
