When packing for a picnic, there are several essential items that you'll want to bring with you to ensure that you have a fun and comfortable experience. Here are some of the things you might want to consider packing:

Picnic Blanket

This will provide a clean and comfortable surface to sit on while you enjoy your food.

Food + Drinks

You'll want to bring a variety of snacks, sandwiches, fruits, and beverages that are easy to transport and won't spoil in the heat. Don't forget to pack utensils, napkins, and cups or glasses as well.

Plates + Napkins + utensils

If you are having multiple snacks, or meeting up with people who are bringing more food to eat, it is important to have the right items with you so you can enjoy your meal!

Trash Bags

Always come with at least one bag to dispose of trash in to keep the earth clean! This is an easy thing to forget but can be essential if there is not a nearby trash can in your picnic area.

Portable Speaker

If you want to enjoy some music while you picnic, a portable speaker can come in handy.

Cooler/Ice Pack

If you're bringing perishable items, it's important to keep them cool to prevent spoilage. You can use a cooler or ice packs to keep your food and drinks at a safe temperature.

Activities

Bring something to do. Some ideas of some activities you could easily pack are a pack of cards, books, watercolor materials, or some craft materials to create something in nature!

Here are some items you could consider packing in addition to the essential picnic necessities just to step it up a notch:

Pretty Blankets or cushions

Fancy glasses or cups

Flowers or greenery

Decorative plates and utensils

String lights, lanterns, or candles

Remember, it’s your picnic, so have fun with it and make it personal style and taste. Don’t be afraid to get creative with it! Happy spring and happy picnic-ing!
